I've Scrapped Again!

It's been a little while since I've scrapped. But I wanted to share a new LO with you. This is another one from the Pumpkin farm.

Did you notice that we are wearing shorts in October??? Almost unheard of in these parts, but it was really hot that day - in the 80's! Credits here.

I used Andilynn Designs new Extreme Solids Paper Pack.

Thanks for looking!

Case of the Sillies

I just had to post this because it was so funny. Tonight at dinner my DD2 made her first "joke" . She speaks really well for her age. It goes like this:

DD2 - "Daddy, was that sound?" as she puts her hand to her ear like she's listening.
Daddy - "I don't know, what's that sound?"
DD2 - "I donno"..."Daddy, was that sound?"
Daddy - "I don't know, what's that sound?"
DD2 - "It's a elepant". Then she pulls her bottom lip over her top and sticks out her chin and makes her "elephant" noise (I know you're all trying this - hahaha!) Then she starts laughing so hard that she has tears coming down her face! So of course the rest of us start laughing. She thinks she the little entertainer now, so she has repeated it at least 10 times - cracks her up each time!

I am often surprised at what people offer and ask me to do. Since I started this blog I have had so many wonderful people ask me for assistance, or offer some to me. I've had people ask me to sport their blinkies (I don't normally do this, if you are thinking about it - I link 100's of people in my list a week already, so I don't want to add more at this time) . I've had people offer me free kits from their shops, test out and review their software – once I even had someone offer (and send) me a case of Pull-ups.

Why am I telling you this? First, to tell you that I make my list because I want to, it's fun – you don't owe me a thing if you are on it – I don't do it to get free stuff , LOL :-) Maybe just an occasional thanks, if you feel like it :-)

Second - I love to help out, and don't mind doing it a bit :-) So, if you need help, let me know - maybe I can point you in the right direction :-)

Third - to tell you that I recently was asked for an interview – which surprised the heck out of me! You can read part of the interview here at AdoramaPix. The interview was part of a blog post announcing a square sale on page printing. So if you're a SQUARE SCRAPPER. Be sure to check out their sale – the prices look really good, and they use Kodak paper – which is (usually) the best quality. I have not personally used them, so I can't vouch for the quality first hand. Here are the sale prices (until the end of the month):

12x12s cost 3.49

10x10s are 1.99

6x6s are just .49

5x5s are a low low .39 each.

How great would those small sizes be for gift albums!

I also wanted to tell you about this!

Polly wants a cracker???

Last night DH gave the kids a bath early, we all put on our jammies, and we climbed into our bed to watch Dancing with the stars. We don't normally do this, but it was nice cuddle time with the girls & they like to watch the dancers. I did forget how racy some of the "outfits" could be. So we are watching it, and the kids would get up every few minutes to dance along, and they would ohhhh & Ahhh at the pretty dresses.

All of a sudden, one of the contestants said something, and I looked at my DH and said "did she just say " and then I started to spell the 4 letter word I thought I heard. As I got to the second letter he starts to say "Did she say what I think she said?" . We both knew what we were trying to say. A few seconds later, DD1 starts repeating the letters I had said (she's totally into learning her letters right now) and says "F**U**, 2 or 3 times! Oh my goodness – I have tried so hard not to use words like these, especially around my girls & here I think by spelling it, I'd have done no harm. What a little parrot. I'm praying she won't repeat it again – especially at preschool! But, DH & I had to try really hard to suppress some laughs – it was totally innocent on her part.

I just checked my site meter, and I hit 100,000 visitors this weekend! I am completely shocked & amazed by this. When I started this little blog back in April, I was certain that NO ONE would visit my site. That it would be this meaningless, insignificant little blurb in cyberspace. So, seriously, shocked :-) Those numbers tell me one really great thing – that people are finding my list helpful. I am glad of that, I am glad to be able to give back to this great digital community. So I want to thank all of you for coming to visit. I didn't realize the milestone was so close, or would have made a little treat to give all of you. Maybe I'll be able to come up with something in the next week or so.

Also, I really want to thank everyone who left me such wonderful well wishes for me and my family. We are all healthy now. DD2 only had a cold, and my queasy-ness may have been attributed to the fear that DD1 may be sick on me again :-) oh, just thinking about it is making me ill!

I would have actually posted sooner this weekend, but I went to an all day paper crop on Sunday. It was so much fun. As usual, I didn't get as much done as I thought I would, but it was much fun. One of my good friends won a nice digital camera – I was so excited that someone in our group won a prize – I am a bit bummed that it wasn't me though! Anyhow the crop was for a great charity, so I was glad to be a part of it.

Now, I've got a list for you:

Yuck! Sickness has hit our house. We started with colds and runny noses. Now DD 1 started throwing up (sorry to be gross) last night. Didn't she have to pick my bed to do it too. Poor thing, I really feel terrible for her. I'm starting to feel a bit queasy myself, so I'm thinking that I will not be getting to those freebies today.

Designers - please feel free to link your freebies in my CBox (sidebar).
Everyone Else - check the CBox - I see some there already - thank you thank you thank you... or feel free to look back at lists you may have missed.

Hopefully, I'll be back with a new list soon.

Oh yeah, I did promise Shari I'd list her freebie. Here is the link to some beautiful Felt Flowers for the Fall. .

Here's one more I found in my Email - It's for Breast Cancer Awareness:

Take care!

New Tutorial

I just posted a new tutorial about how to make curved edge photos on your LO's. You can find the tutorial here at Scrapmatters. You can also use it to make your ribbons & stiches follow a curve.

If you try it out, I'd love to see what you do with it!

BTW, thanks to everyone for all of the wonderful comments left on my last posts. It's nice to see that people actually read this silly blog & are just really nice enough to say hello :-)

Have a great day!

I'll try to get a new list up sometime on Monday.

Guess what?

I'm so excited! My sister called me tonight with 2 wonderful bits of info – first, she's watching my kiddies tomorrow so DH & I can go on a date (yea!) and second, her boyfriend thinks he can get me a not-to-be-passed-up-deal on PSCS3! If he can, I could just kiss this boy! Hee hee, he might be completely freaked out by that, he's a bit shy :-) Now, AK, I tried to call you to tell you this first, so don't think I'm cheating on ya by posting on my blog first.

If I get PSCS3, DH is going to have to do a major overhaul on this little PC we've got. It's a few years old, and could use it. It's actually starting to groan when I use actions in PSE 5.0. LOL! Seriously, I am just giddy (did I just use that word? Do people really use this word????) with excitement. My mom called me and asked what's new. After I told her, she said she has no idea what that is, but that it must be very exciting because I didn't even take a breath when I told her!

I've had a bunch of folks ask me where I get my LO's printed. So, I thought I'd post it here for all of you. I print all of my pages at I've tried a couple of places and not been very happy with the results. But I love They use Kodak paper – it's thick & sturdy. The colors are wonderful. The prices are very good. It's $3.49 per 12x12 page, and there is a flat rate shipping fee of $2.00 per order. They also do as small as 4x4 & as large as 16x16 (might be fun for some wall art). I have not used Shutterfly yet, because I am not organized enough to get a book full of LO's in the right order! I have however seen several of their photobooks, and think the quality is wonderful!

Okay I'm off to watch Grey's Anatomy & Dr. McDreamy now. I missed it last night.

Photography Tips for Toddlers & Preschoolers

Do you have toddlers or preschoolers & lots of photos that are a blur? I know I do. My 2 DDs rarely hold still for more than 2.5 seconds. So, I've learned to be creative to get those great shots. I thought I'd share some of my tips with you. I've written a post over at ScrapMatters, and you can check it out here. Got some tips to share? Feel free to add to the post.
