New | Paper Pretties 9 | $1 Retirement Sale!

Happy Friday to you!!!

My kiddos have finally started summer vacation and we are off to a great start!  We’ve planted our veggie garden, started soccer, joined a gym, visited the park, a movie & a play date!

Whew – we are trying to soak up every minute of summer! When we aren’t running around, we are lounging by the pool.  I’m so impressed how much braver my girls have gotten this year in the water!  My youngest is jumping and diving and they are both doing all sorts of water “tricks”.  Ahh – that brings back some great childhood memories of my own!!

We had company over for dinner recently and made one of our favorite summer meals!  Have you ever had pizza cooked on the grill?? Oh my YUM!!!  It’s so easy to do and each of your guests can make one with their favorite toppings – so everyone is happy!!  I posted some instructions recently on the Scrap Orchard Team blog if you’d like some direction on how to make them!!

Please excuse my pictures, lol – someday I’ll learn how to use my camera!!

I’m wrapping up my guest spot over at ScrapMatters and today I have a new set of Paper Pretties out!  They are accordion style, petal shaped, paper rosettes.  They are on sale for 20% off right now.  Be sure to grab them quick – as my guest spot at SM ends on JUNE 30th – and you’ll have to wait until they are re-loaded at my Scrap Orchard store.

Speaking of my Scrap Orchard store… I’m cleaning off my shelves and retiring a few oldies but goodies.  This is your LAST chance to grab these 15 products!!  Oh yeah I’ve priced them all at $1 each – what a deal!!

The sale runs through July 1st – so grab them quick!!!!

Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend!!

New | Worn Out Pieces 2 | + freebie

You know by now that I love a good worn or torn paper – and so many of you do too!  It adds a touch of realism to your pages and kits.  These Worn Out Pieces 2 have some great new shapes to work with.  They are a bit more torn than worn and are perfectly sized for photos, journaling blocks and paper pieces.  Take a look…

Worn Out Pieces 2

These may look complicated, but really they are very easy to use.  They are layered files (you choose psd or tiff – or un-layered as png files). Just place your photo or paper below the overlay – and then clip it to the mask layer (CTRL + G).  Full instructions are included in the zip files too.

Here is some inspiration from my CT and from the SM CT (thank you ladies!!)

Accordion Bits & Simply Shabby

New this week are Accordion Bits!  These accordion folded paper pieces have a scalloped edge to make them more interesting.  As a designer use them as a filler piece in kits, or as a layering piece to more complex elements.  As a scrapper, use them as layering pieces under photos, or as a base for an amazing cluster!  You could even use them as a paper “fence” on your pages.  They are so versatile that you could use them over and over with completely different looks!

The scallops on the Accordion Bits are the same ones that I created to use in Paper Pretties 8.

I’m having fun at my guest spot at ScrapMatters this month!  The team over there is so sweet.  I put together another set of Simply Shabby overlays for my release there today!  They are on sale for 20% off!

These popular overlays are great for making papers.  Layer them up and reduce the opacity to add unique variation to each paper in your kit.  You can easily use them to coordinate your entire paper pack just by rotating the layers and changing your color base!
